Blender Default Material (Without Specularity)

Since the spec setting in Blenders default material is not really that good to show of un-textured models a lot of people use it without spec. Not hard to do but a must-have in every material-lib, so here it is.

We should think about a method to purge the material repository of unwanted or otherwise unnecessary materials ....

Dude, i dont know if you know this but....that material pretty much comes default with blender. Ummmmmmm.....Just changing the spec is NOT enough to upload it to a repository.....cmon....get CREATIVE =P

I know that it's not hard to do and not creative at all (I even mention it in the description). The only reason for me to add it was that it was in at least two other material collections I've used so far.

Feel free to delete it, I really don't care if it's gone. :)

Too bad if people can't decide for themself if they want to use a (bad/simple/whatever) material then though, I thought the rating and sorting system would take care of that just fine.

We HAVE a system to segregate bad materials. Every material has to be checked by an moderator and must then be activated. In this case by me.

So stop crying and just don't download it if you don't like it :P

Actually, as newbie, thanks. It's always useful to be reminded to think about everything and work out why things are the way they are. And I thought the description was very clear.

I'm sorry I usually don't flame but this is probably the most used and useful material in the entire database. It is the basis for setting light and shadow. You use this when you add lights to your seen to correct shadows before you add materials to it. I love this material and I use it in every project I create.
